US “CHRISTIANS” CAN BE IGNORANT, COMPLACENT, OR BOLD

By Jim Towers

Yes,  some of us Christians are ignorant; usually because we are new to the faith. In which case there is some catching up to do. So, it’s important to find a bible believing church to attend where the pastor/ pastors are well versed in the scriptures. Nevertheless, it is best if you are God taught through reading the bible for yourself – asking for His guidance.

Others of us are complacent, but after a while, like the Laodicean church become indifferent to the faith and begin to fall away since they don’t grow by not being challenged and so they wither on the vine. Most others are fearful for lack of faith due to not studying scripture to learn what God has to say.

But the real tragedy is that  too few of us are bold enough to proclaim the Gospel even to our own families and friends,– and when we are bold enough to stand on scripture, we are often outcasts to be shunned in their own church for being an unschooled “nut job” by the leadership!

There is a long list of things that churches do and fail to do, they were first put in place to primarily equip Christians for the spiritual battles ahead. While it’s true that some spiritual leaders are helpful in leading their flock in the right direction, they almost always lead the flock through their own distorted thinking and by making themselves out to be paragons of faith and virtue. However, they are merely human beings – like you and I. So, “Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings who cannot save. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; their plans  come to nothing.”

That is why it is imperative to study you Bible and learn what God has to say about everything, after all He created everything. In so doing you will be taught by God and not by men, “But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true, it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ.”

Typically, though the leaders fail to advance the gospel to the lost and dying – preferring to take shelter in a cement brick building hunkering down to wait and see if things are going to return to “normal”. Normal meaning, that the numbers of mass murders will go down and enemies will finally admit to being wrong in killing one another including women and children. It’s called “wishful thinking”. “There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end  thereof is the way of death.” But worse than that, they are going on summer retreats when they haven’t even engaged the enemy. Hot dogs, cumbia singalongs and a little hanky-panky. My God! What are these people thinking? Where are the warriors for Christ who are willing to stand for their convictions?

Due to obscene drug use in our country spurred by hopelessness for lack of the knowledge of God, young men are randomly killing others indiscriminately on an unpresented scale. The bible says that “Because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall grow cold.” Corrupt politicians as well as clergy only care about the power and money they can make “serving” the public. Many now own several houses, cars and even planes that they didn’t own before, plus stocks and bonds – after being elected and rising through the ranks. Such people should be exposed and severely delt with.

Even as I write this, several civil servants in high places are being indicted for various crimes and are lawyering up to face criminal indictments as well as for pedophilia.

Earthquakes, Volcanoes, tsunamis, mudslides and flooding continue to plague the nations with war and rumors of war on the immediate horizon. If you had read the bible, you would have known this and prepared to meet your maker by repenting, receiving Christs forgiveness, getting baptized and burying your nose in the bible which is lost somewhere in the house. (Did you look under the bed?)

Yesterday I set out to run errands and found myself at Costco in time for lunch to have my favorite hotdog and soft drink. I really felt like keeping to myself, so I sat with my back against the wall but as I ate, two middle-aged women both dressed in black crossed in front me. The one closest to me slid by with her back to me and looking up I saw that she had a big tattoo of a human scull on her shoulder. This could only mean one thing, that God wanted me to talk to her and her friend since that told me that they were lost. I continued to eat but could only eat half of my meal. NO GOD, I pleated in silence, “please let me have the day off.” But as I stood to leave, I thought , but if I don’t talk and give my car to these women they may die in their sins. After engaging the man seated directly in front of me with my card and him thanking me, I felt empowered to talk to the women as well. When I did, and after some small talk like, “The Lord wanted me to talk to you ladies and to give you both my card.” And so, I did as commanded and LOW and BEHOLD, they took the two cards willingly and even thanked me for my advice to prepare for His coming. In leaving I approached a young salesman who was selling something near the exit. He had long hair and had a disheveled appearance, so I was inclined to pass him by, and I did – but as I passed the Lord prompted me to turn around and approach him and I did as told. I talked to the young man  at length,- gave him my card and went my way.

“Hey Jim, stop! I have something for you!” he called, and catching me just before I exited, he handed me a small wood cross. “I like to hand these out to other people.”

“So, you’re a Christian too!”

“I try to be” the young man answered.

“Tomorrow We’ll have to talk.” I replied.

What a time we live in,

DON’T DRINK THE KOOLAID!

By Jim Towers

These days – with enough deceit going on to corrupt the entire world, we must be very careful about what we believe. The very first thing you must do is run out and buy a King James Bible or even a New King James version – that is if you don’t have one two or three lying around the house just gathering dust somewhere. Forget the other so-called new “versions” such as The New World Translation of the Jehovah’s Witnesses or the Book of Mormon and even the Catholics “Douay Rheims version” all of which are faulty. That is unless you want to read about hidden gold plates buried in a weirdos  backyard with strange writing on it, or talking bunny rabbits, hobbits and such.

Joseph Smith said he was visited an angel named Morony and told him about certain gold  plates buried in his back yard which only he would be able to read and interpret and that it was a new translation of the bible – hence, Charlie boy invented the Mormon cult. No one anywhere ever saw the gold plates ever. If you believe that tall tale, I’ve got a bridge in Brooklyn NY. I will sell you – pennies on the dollar No other person has ever seen the gold plates. Otherwise, they might have stolen and sold them – making good money that way.

Another young man named Charles Taze Russell wrote “The New World” translation alone in his free time and developed the “Watchtower” periodical which its followers peddle on the streets today. For God’s sake don’t let the Jehovah’s Witnesses into your home to teach you anything. They are clueless, and just because they wear a white shirt and tie and carry a briefcase doesn’t mean they know anything about the bible. Mr. Taze also founded the “watchtower society”. This was a guy who was apparently trying to make a name for himself and did so among the illiterate and uniformed. The name Taze says it all.

Incidentally the Roman Catholics take this malarky one step further by saying the Rosary (much like Muslim with their prayer beads and worshiping ceramic statues that weep on occasion. They confess their sins to a sinful man (usually a pedophile,) they call “Father” – a title which Jesus strictly forbade. Is it any wonder “Martin Luther” left the Roman Catholic church and began the Protestant movement!

Only one Bible was written by scores of Jewish and Gentile Scholars (the King James version). Despite its age, it is – indubitably, (Whew – that word is a real hum – dinger- use it on your friends and they will think your real fancy pants.) the most reliable Word of God we have today.

Forget Hammurabi who doesn’t’ discuss heaven nor hell and is mostly about unreliable history. You read all other religious books at the risk of being bamboozled, misled, and confused. Other so-called books are devoid of Salvation and that is what we should be most concerned about. Most other versions were written by disenfranchised lone wolves within in the confines of a musty damp basement much like Joe Biden who carried on his presidential ambitions from there and won! NOT.

The reason I can write these things with authority is because God in fact told me to “quit reading manmade philosophies and ideas and to plant my feet firmly on the foundation Jesus Christ has already set”. However, there are some who know just enough to use the King James to deceive, (Satan is very clever you know) but you can avoid making errors by asking God for His Holy Spirit to guide and direct you and you can’t go wrong – but be sure of your motive and don’t rely on any one man for the interpretation of its contents because most times certain verses apply only to you at certain times in your life. If you want to impress others with your extreme knowledge and intellect, then use other source material like – War and Peace.

Although the Bible may seem to be contradictory at first – It never really contradicts itself and the more you read the more that will be revealed to you, that why the Apostle Paul said, “Study to show yourself approved, a workman that need not be ashamed – rightly dividing the Word of God. Like it or not, we’re all bias in one way or another, (that’s what makes us humans so unique – but when it comes to the Bible – it is one powerful jam-packed book of  full of truth, peace and power.

Another of these lone wolves was a man named Jim Jones who claimed to speak for the bible but instead only preached what he wanted his followers to hear never telling them what the bible said. This evil man’s message to his followers was that he was the only purveyor of truth and that his followers need only listen to him without opening their Bibles – hence, when he told them to drink the poisoned “Kool aide” they did and all of them died a grizzly death.

Today, I stopped at Costco for a huge kosher hotdog and big fountain drink for only $1.50 ! Then I remembered how people clambered for one of my little red bibles which contain the message of salvation on a previous occasion. (Costco has a large eating area where families can enjoy pizza, hotdogs and other goodies) So, I took a big handful of my little bibles in my Cargo shorts pocket to test the waters – so to speak. (When dealing with a public business place like this one I had to be careful not to provoke or incite a riot.) and I figured the clientele would be a kind of captive audience – like church.

In any case, when I finished eating, I started at the back working my way to the front and being polite, with a soft voice and smile on my face – in most cases, (I can tell who’s in a good mood or not.) and just as I figured – everyone was receptive save one – whom I determined might be a Mormon or Jehovah’s Witness or maybe even a Catholic. I was somewhat sterner or adamant with men – since they don’t like to be taken for granted or talked down to. I warned all of them the likely hood of war and how we must ALL repent and seek God’s face considering that end times events are already taking place.

Don’t you agree?

A Wake-Up Call to Christian Men

Ibrahim’s message is not just a warning—it’s a call to arms (spiritually and intellectually).“Today, Christian men are told that to be faithful, they must be soft, passive, and nonjudgmental,” he said. “That’s not biblical. That’s not historical. That’s programming. ”His upcoming book trilogy, including The Two Swords of Christ, aims to restore the martial Christian ethos, not for conquest, but for righteous defense.

“If we don’t rediscover the second sword,” Ibrahim concluded, “we’ll have no civilization left to protect.

EMBARKING ON A NEW STRATEGY

By Jim Towers

With rain continuing to pummel us and causing life threatening floods I’m reminded yet again that Christ Jesus said,  “As it was in the days of Noah,  so shall it be at the coming of the Son of Man the likes of which are unprecedented and world war 3 looming, (The former president of Russia, Demitry Medvedev today told Putin that he should do a preemptive strike on the United States NOW – before we can manufacture more bombs.)  That plus a magnitude 7.3 earthquake in Alaska as well as other catastrophic events around the world, I am embarking on a new strategy to reach people for Christ with my over forty-year ministry.

As most of you know I’ve been handing out “business” cards advertising Rapture Ready, and DZD as well as my own website – (in which Kelly Tyson has a wonderful video regarding the salvation message.) Well, those cards will soon be gone, and I’ve decided to come up with a new one, titled “REPENT AMERICA”. God willing, I will also be wearing a T shirt with that same message emblazoned across the front for all to see – much like the haggard street evangelists of the past who used a sandwich board instead. Something I’ve be accused of acting like and waving my raggedy Bible to passing cars while standing on a street corner and shouting the end is near. Albeit, who will be justified before the throne of Christ – the complacent theologically trained clergy who spouts rehearsed sermons to captive audiences for a paycheck and acclimation – or the “fool for God?”

In designing the cards give was that myself I asked for another opinion and what was given was that it should say – “The End is Near!” I was startled by that response since the person I asked is in fact a nominal logical Christian from birth! But extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures so I’m going along with it.

Today I encountered three diners at a local restaurant and one of the two men read the caption on my cap which reads, “AUTHOR”. Upon leaving he stopped me as I was passing and said, “So you are an author. I remember a writer named Mickey Spillane who told of his transition from writer to author. He explained that Mickey was a writer who became an author after selling millions of copies of his books. I thought I should be so lucky, and replied, well I used to wear a cap that said WRITER, but after being published I began wearing this one with AUTHOR written on it. Wither same time, I was pulling my little packet of cards out and distributed one to each of them including the woman to whom I said, “We are living in the end times and this card with the QR code on it will take you to my website where you can learn more about it. All three of them were amazed at my boldness but acquiesced to checking out my cards while acknowledging that the world has gone mad and war crazy.

Christian women are doing their part as well; our own Cindy Naura posted on Facebook the incredible video of a young boy who had a vision of heaven and his deceased father after coming out of a coma from a head injury while skateboarding. You must check it out. This incredible proof of God’s existence tells me that God is pulling out all the stops in getting us to acknowledge Him and to repent before it’s too late and we miss the rapture.

The following is an excerpt from an Israeli news source – https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/one-of-israel-s-most-powerful-groups-believes-the-war-heralds-the-messiah-s-coming/ar-AA1IO0lR?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=HCTS&cvid=e403b1e2e43442bda685c7021e4f62c6

This shift lies not in the belief that the advent of the Messiah approaches, but in the removal of the few remaining filters relating to how this emerging reality is presented to the greater public. In light of the “open miracles” and “wonders upon wonders,” as the rabbis put it, there is no longer any reason to be circumspect or constrained in the rhetoric. On the contrary: There is an obligation to convey to society the magnitude of the moment and the unfolding redemption it portends.

Is my website not titled propheticsignsandwonders? And my first book titled “ Miracles, Peace and Power”? These days I’m awakened all hours of the night with ideas on how to reach others, with the Word of God in light of what’s happening in our world today and I can’t begin to tell you what a privilege it is to serve God in this way. Getting to meet and talk to people from all walks of life and leading some of them to faith in Jesus Christ is the most satisfying a person can do. Nevertheless, I’m sad to say that many Christians are fearful of ridicule from others – especially from the “Brethren” and the Pastors of their very own congregations!

Yesterday I stopped by Costco to buy a pair of shorts, the price was right, so I bought two. At the checkout was an uppity lady in her mid-forties and her helper an older East Indian woman. After a little back and forth I told the woman I thought she was from New York by her attitude laughingly and  she fired back “YOU NAILED IT!” While she was making change I fished out my card and then added, “Your helper is a Hindu, and the woman looked up and nodded yes. I handed the clerk my card after she handed me back my change and reading it, she asked, “Are you a prophet?” she asked with furrowed brow, but without any sense of condensation nor condemnation.

I replied matter-of-factly, “No I’m not – but I write about the prophetic word as well as world events that are confirming what they predicted to happen in the Bible.”

“Oh really, wow!” as she examined the card thoroughly.

Then I handed a card to her co-worker and after she examined it, the older Hindu woman said, “Tso jyou ardt a Jinn?” ( My card reads Jim Towers.)

“No, I am JIM”.

Then she looked at me askance as if she was unsure. Incidentally a “Jinn “is a spiritual being in ancient Hindu folklore.

Approaching strangers with my cards is most gratifying in knowing I’m doing the right thing in proclaiming the Gospel to others like Jesus commanded us to do. I leave the discipleship part to the churches. Times a wasting and just don’t have time to undertake that too.

MY CRUSADE

By Jim Towers

While Franklin Graham was holding his Crusade in the U,K., I was doing my thing here in Naples Florida. After seeing and sharing Christ my Chiropractor I felt sprite and full of vinegar, so I headed to my favorite haunt – Walmart. Telling God to use me today I loaded up with my two sided “business” cards and vowed to distribute as many as I could. So, the first person I encountered was a Walmart worker who was lighting up a cigarette nearby as I got out of my car. I thought to skip him, but the Spirit said no. Being obedient, I approached the man and as I fumbled in my pocket for the cards I began telling the man about my mission to get fellow Americans to repent, and I couldn’t help but notice the wristband he was wearing that said “Follower of Jesus Christ” written on it, upon seeing this I dove right into the subject and inducted him into the army of God by giving him several cards, telling him that if he liked what he saw on my website that he should distribute them to family, friends and neighbors, “I’d be glad to” the man replied. Approaching the entrance, I was taken by a spiffy “Hog” Harley motorcycle that an older man was preparing to mount. “Nice motorcycle, dude!” I said as I approached.

“Thanks man,” he replied, then I told him that God wanted him to know that we were living in the end times, and he replied, “ No Shit man!”

“If you like what my card says about these things, I want you to help me spread the word.” (My card has a short video on how to be saved by Kelly Tyson with musical background even.)

The man grabbed the cards and said “I surely will.” Then I continued with my mini crusade. The Holy Spirit was full – force on me today. I found the tackle box I was looking for only ten bucks and as I went down the aisle I saw two young men wearing white short sleeve shirts and ties. They couldn’t have been more than twenty years old. Approaching them I exclaimed “Mormon Missionaries – right?

“Yes sir, we are.” In unison.

“Well, I’m a missionary too – have been for over forty-five years. I was one before you were even thought of” I said cheerily. Then I followed up with, “Do you guys believe we are living in the end times?” To this, they both agreed wholeheartedly. I proceeded to give them my card, one for each of them (for fear they would be destroyed if I gave them more.) I left the results up to God said goodbye and continued my way.

Making my way out of the store I saw a young man and his girlfriend at the checkout and God told me to talk to him. Sure, enough when told him of my mission and commissioned him into the army of God he gladly accepted while his girlfriend looked on in utter dismay as I gave him several cards to distribute to family, friends, and neighbors.

The final person was the cripple door greeter, and I told him that this life would soon be over and that Christians would be taken out of this world – given new bodies and eternal life with God, (giving him the hope he needed to make it another day,) Then I went on my way.

The following day I went to the gym and then headed to the beach to do some more witnessing even as Iran broke the cease treaty issued by President Trump (at which a very angry.) Trump dropped the “F” bomb on both factions for disobeying him. He is forgetting that mankind (namely radical Muslims) are incapable of  keeping treaties. And so, the world is sitting on pins and needles while waiting for something inevitable to happen, like World War Three.

In truth, although I’ve studied bible prophecy for many years, I never dreamed the “final days” before the rapture would be fulfilled so fast. But looking back, I can see where we are the final generation in accordance with the bible. A person only needs to do the simple math.

As I looked for people to induct into Gods army, I noticed that the ones God led me to were Christians. In that way I was able to get more cards into the hands of many more people. I could often tell who they were because many are now wearing cross necklaces as lucky charms in these perilous times when the whole world seems to be falling apart. By doing so they are hoping that God notices and overlooks their inadequacies to be able to escape His retribution. Not one man resisted and agreed that we were living in the Last Days when all hell breaks loose and willingly took the cards to give to family. friends, and neighbors.

Despite pastors never saying a peep about God’s retribution and blithely only preaching about God’s forgiveness and love, Christians are finally waking up to the harsh reality that these are the last of the last days. Christ Jesus said “Go ye out into the world proclaiming the good news of the Gospel.” Presently, Jesus is pruning some of us to go out and bear fruit while others of us are even afraid to name the name of Christ. I even head a pastor say that while on a flight the passenger next to him asked what he did for a living, and he had to reluctantly admit that he was a preacher. Was it because he knew that the fellow traveler would ask the pastor to pray him? Or was the pastor just a plain fearful man? That tells me that the pastor was lacking the Holy Spirit who empowers us to boldly proclaim Jesus Christ.

Today on the internet I saw what was described to be an apparition of Jesus Christ in the clouds over the Philippines. I this was a reality then it would only confirm that God is pulling out all the stops in these the final days of the Last Days and pouring His spirit on all flesh – not so they can speaking in “tongues” or slain in the spirit – but so that they will acknowledge God, spread the Gospel and get their act together to avoid the calamity of the tribulation period by being whisked away in the rapture of the church.

 FLABBERGASTED

By Jim Towers

I was flabbergasted that the man thanked me so profusely. After all, I was only being facetious when I laid my hand on his shoulder and asked God to heal him of his deep addiction to pot. “Dear Father in heaven, please help this poor soul to escape the addiction to marijuana.” As usual the prayer was short and sweet.” He had closed his eyes to pray in unison with me, saying “Amen and Amen! Afterward the man – with a bewildered look on his face, exclaimed “Thank you Jim, thank you Jesus for the deliverance!! I’ve been praying about this habit for years!”

After his initial reaction, I invited him for a sit down during which  he told me he was a Christian but had not been able to kick the pot habit that he had had for years. Then he showed me his cell phone on which he had bible verses to prove he was a believer. So, I told him how important it was to have an intimate relationship with God; one in which he could share his aspirations and problems and not just a “religious” or conjured up view of God.

Later, back home, as I reviewed the situation, while reading this verse of scripture where Jesus said, “Wherever two or three are gathered together and ask anything in my name -I will do it.” Is that what happened? Maybe – just maybe.

I would never claim to be a so-called healer since we have plenty of them here in America – phony, jaded and otherwise. That position is above my pay grade. My calling is to be a witness for God and Christ Jesus. (This because of pity for my fellow man) – it is not to make a spectacle or name for myself by claiming special powers.

Nevertheless, it never ceases to amaze me that even pastors and deacons are devoid of real spiritual power and are unable to deal with such matters. The Holy Spirit is sorely lacking in the Christian church and I’m not talking about speaking in tongues or being slain in the spirit – (which do nothing to advance the kingdom of God.) We Christians talk about love but seldom show it. We talk about God but can never prove it for lack of the Holy Spirits power, and to think we have the audacity to call ourselves Pastor, deacons and even Apostles! When in truth, they need a money paying job and seek recognition as well.  Hence, “You honor me with your mouths, but your heart is far from me.” Says the Lord.

We in the know, must repent and cry out to God for His Power to infuse us in these – the last of the last days. All too often, in church we only receive a sermon that has no impact on our lives whatsoever, like sermons about places, history and non- existing love. If truly had love for their fellow man they would be out scouring the neighborhood for lost souls and not only preaching to captive audiences. They sanitize blood bought salvation with rituals and manmade ideas and philosophies instead.

With the rapture so close – now is not the time to shirk our responsibility to our savior Christ Jesus and our fellow man. We have a lot of catching up to do. Now is not the time to vacillate with so many people not knowing which way to turn in our upside-down world.

I know my thoughts and evaluations offend some – but I’ve been around long enough to know when a pastor or deacon is pussy footing around or pulling my leg. The fruit of their lives bears witness to the shallowness of their hearts.

With that in mind, I call all Christian men to rise and act like men of conviction and courage. We need soldiers of the cross like never before. We must put on our helmets of salvation – strap on our swords of the Spirit – hoist our shield of faith – put on our breastplates of truth and like the Bible says, have our feet shod with the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Albeit there are some willing men out there in the Christian community – like the person that wrote to me recently who doesn’t know how to begin being a warrior for Christ. His wimpy pastor had never taught him, but I’ll bet he knows where Samaria is.

Dear Jim,

I read your article on your trip to MI (I live in MI).  I enjoyed it but more marvel at how you approach people.  I struggle with that aspect of my faith, finding it easy to talk with believers and encourage them and even pray with them but struggle with bringing up conversation with non believers.  Your article on Rapture Ready encouraged me.  If I come to mind during a time of  prayer, please ask God to strengthen me to be more bold.  Even as I write this I am afraid of how I will be challenged when God answers a prayer for my boldness.  I love Jesus so.  He is my all in all and I want to serve HIM as He directs.  I owned a retail store and often would be prompted to pray for someone in the store and rarely would I respond to that leading.  From this a sense of guilt arose.  I have really come along in sharing what God has done for me with believers and I feel this is something valuable for the kingdom but truly, i want more boldness to share with someone who is not a believer.

I have this sense that our time is short and Jesus’ coming to gather those who believe is eminent.  I also have the repressive sense of how the road to hell is paved and easy to travel and I stand in a crowd and look at all of the people and I get a clear feeling of how lost people are.  This sense of hell is powerful to me and the thought of eternity there (in hell) is a burden that only can be answered by me having more courage to share.  I enjoy reading what you share.

God Bless

My answer was and is,

First and foremost is appropriating the Holy Spirit – ask for His help. Know what you believe and don’t go off on a tangent proving it. People don’t have time to hear what you think about anything, so I keep things short and sweet – namely the Gospel in a nutshell. For it – they don’t have an answer. And for God’s sake, don’t get preachy. Always remember it’s about the other person and not you. Also, if you see someone hurting, ask if you can pray for them. In all my years of ministry I’ve never had anyone say no.

GODLY RETRIBUTION ?

By Jim Towers

On my long trip home, I was filled with excitement at the thought of being able to distribute my two-sided cards with the RQ on the back for entrance to my website. I was well prepared with a box of 500 cards. Hopefully now more people will be finding Rapture Ready and Dropzonedelta now as well, since I distributed hundreds of cards everywhere I went. While doing so I was also warning strangers that war and the rapture were imminent and that we should all repent, receive Christ and study scripture to be abreast of the times in which we live.

Albeit, as I traveled through the bible belt states I encountered drug addicted people everywhere, some old some young – at welcome stations, rest stops, and gas stations – (many of which are now owned by East Indians who have closed restrooms to the public since it is there that druggies snort lines of cocaine or shoot up heroin.) In one such gas station I asked the young lone clerk behind a bullet proof glass, “Are you a Christian?” (knowing that he was probably a Hindu) and sure enough, he said he wasn’t, and replied, “I am Hindu”.

“Do you know anything about the bible?” I inquired.

“No, but I’ve heard of it.”

“Well, the bible is the history of the world and the God who created it.” I explained. Then I shared how we are all sinners and in need of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. The young man seemed to recognize the name Jesus, and I finally closed by giving him my two-sided card. “Here, this card will explain more fully”. The pleasant young man thanked me and I went on my way.

The fear Chistian’s feel when sharing Christ is Satan’s way of spooking us for fear of offending others. But everyone I encountered was at least willing to listen.

I could tell you stories of the many and diverse people I talked to on my way to Michigan but just to give you another example, one young man who was stationed at a rest stop to warn visitors that there was no running water and the facilities were closed, knew absolutely nothing about God or the Bible. Nothing at all! As I explained the God of heaven and earth and the Bible he was dumbfounded and replied that he was at the top of his game with his own recording studio and this part time job. Nothing I would say or do could change his mind. He was supremely confident and totally lost. The best I could do was pray for him after I departed and so I left him in the hands of God.

At the huge and modern welcome station in Tennessee, a man who appeared to be in his late sixties was wearing a T shirt with this saying on it, “For evil to exist all that is needed is for good men to do nothing” So I went over to where he was sitting and told him I liked his T shirt, and began sharing that we are living in the last of the last days, and he agreed. I handed him my card.

The man must have felt foolish wearing that T shirt knowing he was only condemning himself in doing so.

Presently, The United States is being awakened to God’s existence by being hammered with wild storms as the rest of the world teeters on the brink of extinction as we and the rest of the world slide into complete immorality and apostacy and complacency. On top of that Russia is now threatening the United States over our anticipated involvement in Iran as well as holding talks with China. North Korea is saber rattling as well, and India and Pakistan are growling at one another. All of these people have nuclear bombs at their disposal – just let that sink in a little.  There is Chaos and threat of war everywhere we look. The Iranian regime will soon be dealt a death blow by us. War planes are at the ready with Bunker Busting bombs to undo Iran’s last nuclear stronghold as warships head toward the region. Women are dancing in the streets for being able to rid themselves of their face covering and other oppressive sharia mandates, as their government is being toppled by Israeli forces.

It is imperative that Christians get up off the couch and quit picking the lint from our belly button while watching football (as if there is nothing going on in the world) and show yourself to be true men of God.

While in Lansing, I encountered an older man who was wearing a shirt with two pockets that both stood out as though they were holding cigarettes. I asked what he had in them, and he laughed as he fished out the metal box with pre rolled joints in it, “So what’s in the other pocket “ and he replied, “My lighter”. I then took the initiative to put my hand on his shoulder and pray facetiously for him, “Dear Lord, please take away the need for this evil habit from this man.” To my complete surprise he exclaimed “That’s just what I needed, someone to pray over me to kick this damned demonic habit! We had a sit-down where he revealed that he was a believer but couldn’t kick the habit – while he showed me scripture verses on his I phone. I then proceeded to pray for him – but this time with utmost sincerity as he squeezed my hand tightly. The man thanked me repeatedly for taking the time to spend with him and I had a feeling that he was really cured of this evil habit.

The young man had just been baptized, and I asked if he had a bible. He said he didn’t. I just happened to have a new one in my car – a red-letter edition no less. “I’ll be right back” and I made my way back to my car and retrieved it for him. It was the first and only Bible he ever had. I sat back down and explained its contents to him and then prayed for him. Nevertheless, it troubled me that some church baptized him without first sharing the Word of God with him. Apparently, they were seeking to get points by baptizing anyone who came along.

I firmly believe that God is shaking mankind awake before He unleashes his fury upon us with a time of tribulation, the likes of which we’ve never experienced before in human history – like the Bible says. At this juncture God impressed on my mind that I should induct the Christian recipients of my cards into the army of God by supplying them with a half dozen of them to distribute to family, friends and neighbors. Not one of them has resisted so far and were happy to comply – some with a smile on their faces. Now that’s thinking outside the box – where God exists and fear is nonexistent.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN

By Jim Towers

Years ago, my newly acquired van was acting up ( it was a used one). The carburetor wasn’t functioning properly and so I ran the battery down. Luckily, I was parked under a big oak tree in a parking lot behind McDonald’s (the area was known for its many drug dealers and thugs) Although I was hungry, I really didn’t want to eat there. I’d had my fill of hamburgers and fries. So I went across the street to a gas station for some gasoline to prime the faulty carburetor – as I walked inside to pay the clerk, I saw him arguing with younger man over a nickel – it seems that the young man had bought a pack of cigarettes and needed a nickel more. The clerk said you give me a nickel and you can have your cigarettes!”

“I’ll bring it back I promise I only live down the street” the young man said.

The clerk huffed back, “I gotta have it now!”

Obviously, the clerk had been lied to before and was tired of it.

“But it’s only a nickel man!”

The clerk bellowed back, “ Yeah and I want it in my hand!) That’s when I butted in, “’ll pay the nickel” and I fished into my pocket, paid for the gasoline and gave the man his nickel.

“Man, what a jerk!” the young man said, as we walked out together.

I turned and asked him if he knew anything about cars, “Yeah man, I can fix anything – how much will you give me?”

“We’ll see.” Thinking, what harm could it do for him to try? Even though I could tell he was a street-smart junkie.

“Come with me I’m parked behind McDonald’s across the street.” The young man followed me; while lighting up, and he began to look at the carburetor cigarette in hand. Meanwhile I kept the gasoline as far from him and his lit cigarette – as I could.

I hadn’t eaten lunch, and it was now supper time, but I couldn’t bear to eat another meal at McDonald’s. We fooled around with a carburetor for a couple of hours and by now I was famished, sure enough he only wanted the money to buy drugs, and I knew that – so I preached to him about the danger of drugs and shared various Bible verses with him. He listened as he probed under the hood of the van in confusion and was surprised that I knew what he was up too – to make matters worse, I concluded that he didn’t know what he was doing in fixing the car. I finally told him I was hungry, and we had to quit. I said, “But I really don’t want MacDonalds again today!” As I had already eaten breakfast there this morning and supper there the night before, after the van broke down. But it just so happened that God has set up a meal for me. The young man invited me to his older sister’s house where she was selling BBQ meals to help her church. ( Is that a coincidence or what? …. Barbecue?! Did somebody say BBQ?! Man, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on some. His sister lived right down the street and was cooking on the big outdoor grill when we arrived. There were others there but as it turned out they were all family members of his, a younger sister whom I thought might be in her mid-20s, another older sister, her husband and a female cousin. There were chairs all set up in the driveway under a canopy and I made myself at home after paying $10.00 for my highly anticipated meal. I ate as the others watched as the young man told them I was a preacher of sorts and that I knew of his wayward ways without him even telling me – now I ask you who in their right mind can’t discern something like that.? I finished my meal, and we began to make small talk – primarily about church, God, and Jesus Christ –  they seem to be impressed by my knowledge of the Bible. And after an hour of give and take, I got up ready to leave and the young man asked me to pray for him. When I finished praying for him and was ready to leave again -the young man’s brother-in-law (who had been quiet all this time, scrutinizing everything I had to say)asked me to pray for him too. As he stood up and came over to me, taking off his cap as he approached. I never considered myself a man of any spiritual stature – but I did as I as he asked, and the man was satisfied. I took my leave and went back to the van alone to spend the night sleeping at the back end of it in my makeshift bed with a full stomach and I thanked God for such a wonderful opportunity and meal, said a prayer for the group and went to sleep. The next morning, upon awakening I tapped gently on the carburetor, cranked the van over and after a pop or two – it began purring like a kitten! So, I hit the road once again.

(The carburetor float had gotten stuck.)

God knows our every need and will provide – especially if you give Him first place in your life and do as He asks us to do. We all have gifts of different types, and we can offer them to Him. Jesus said, “Only those who throw their lives away for my sake will truly know what it means to live.” We can live dull, boring, fearful lives that don’t amount to a hill of beans, or we can live our lives with joy, peace of mind and assurance of salvation, then when the time comes for us to depart, we can part with great expectation knowing Jesus will say, “Welcome home thy good and faithful servant!”

Incidentally, Covenant Publishing has asked me to write articles for them until they have an opening for book submissions – or so it seems. My new and second book will be finished shortly and is a tour de force. I may even go with a pseudonym or as we say in writers’ circles – “Nom de Plume”

VAARROOOOM, VARROOM – CAARASHHHH!!

By Jim Towers

As I drove through the parking lot at Winn Dixie looking for a place to park, I spotted a man sitting on the display of plastic chairs in front of the store.  He was big, bald and looked bad – verrryyy bad.  This big bad brute was someone you would think was on his way to hell for sure.  He had big red and black tattoos all over his body, some skulls and crossbones and even snakes slithering on both of his arms. They were even on the back of his big bald head, on which he also had a big red scar across his tattooed dome, from side to side – ear to ear.

I parked and grabbed a couple of tracts, intending to disperse them to people I would meet. But God had other plans, and prompting me, I felt compelled to speak to the big bad dude concerning the salvation message.

I approached him and introduced myself as I sat next to him.  “Do you mind if I sit here?

“No sir, go right ahead.” “What prompted you to call me ‘sir’?” I asked.

He said, “That’s just me”.

We talked a while, about motorcycles and I shifted into gear “Are you a Christian?”

“I’m a Catholic,” he replied.

Then I asked him if he believed in God and Jesus Christ.  He said “yes”, and that God and Jesus were one and the same.

George continued, “Yes,… He talked to me while I was in the hospital in a coma.” George said he had been riding his motorcycle without a helmet when he had a terrific accident and ended up in the hospital barely alive.  “I just got out of the hospital after being in a coma for two months. My wife said I even died twice on the operating table…. I had head trauma,” pointing to his head. The doctors put a steel plate in my head too.” He sniffed. “I suffered other injuries as well.” And he went on to mention them, broken ribs broken shoulder blade and more – boasting.

Hoping to hear a story of a near death experience. I then asked what he remembered about his near-death experience. He said he remembered nothing, except that God had spoken to him and he in turn pleaded for his life. “Father God, I have a son that I want to bring up. Please don’t let me die!”

By now the hairs on my arms were standing straight up.  I was going to have a hand in leading this heavy-duty biker to Christ and I knew it!

I very clearly explained the Gospel of Salvation.  John 3:16 came to mind first, and then other appropriate verses came to mind as well. I Finally, asked, “What is your name?”  He replied, “George”. ….I haven’t slept for days afraid I might not wake up next time – tears welling up in his bloodshot eyes.

I continued, “George, are you ready – here and now – to repent, receive God’s forgiveness and receive Jesus Christ as your savior?” Without reservation he replied, “yes, oh God- yes!”  I prayed with him, “Father in heaven, Jesus is the Prince of Peace and Geoge here needs the peace that only Jesus can give.”

In leading him to faith in Christ, George asked Jesus to come into his life, save him and give him the peace he needed to be able to sleep – even as weekend shoppers swirled all around us.

Because he was from out of town, I told George to join a Bible believing church and be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, then get a Bible and learn about the things of God.  We were, for a moment of time, in another realm, the realm of the Spirit.

We had no sooner finished praying, that his wife came out of the grocery store with two bags of groceries in hand, and he introduced her to me.

I introduced myself and said, “George just received Jesus Christ as his savior! And he will be able to sleep tonight.”

“Oh, how wonderful, (nearly dropping the bags,) I’m so glad,” I’ve been praying for him continuously since the accident, praying that someone somewhere would lead him to faith in Jesus Christ. “Thank you sir!…Thank you Jesus, halleluiah!! The young woman could barely contain  herself. George choked back his tears and wiped his eyes with the backs of his beefy hands and rose to help his wife with the bags.

After giving George a tract from my church, I continued on my way. Both George and his wife were beaming as I left them, and I fully expected that George slept peacefully that night for the first time in a long time.

Book report.

I’ve been reading all I can about President Trump and have read at least four books about him. There is something strange about that man and I just want to be ready when the “Trump of God” sounds to take us believers’ home. (Is Donalds name a play on words – and is God trying to tell us something?) I don’t know but one thing I’m sure of is that we will be raptured soon -very soon.

The books about President Trump include, “Disloyal” a memoir written by Michael Cohen his former lawyer who was sent to prison for various infractions of the law. He says, Trump threw him under the bus.

“Trump Aftershock” by Stephen E. Strang the founder of Covenant house publishing. Mr. Strang writes nothing bad about Donald Trump and in fact promotes him in every way.

Writer Michael Wolf author of “Too Famous” seems to delight in taking people down as if he’s the only person in the world with morals – including President Trump. I also read his other book “Fire and fury.

Author Emily Jane Fox has written a book titled “Born Trump” in which she discloses the mentality of the entire Trump family with all their quirks and only mentions Donald disparagingly on occasion. She has nothing good to say about him.

GOD IS NOT WILLING THAT ANY SHOULD PERISH

By Jim Towers

Let’s assume you are a loving Father or Mother and let’s say you have a disobedient child. But try as you might, that child is determined to go his own way oblivious to your warnings. Would  you cast him away like so much garbage?

The news yesterday was that a twenty-year-old “Shooter” killed two students and injured several others with a high-powered rifle on the campus of the University of Florida in Tallahassee Florida – his mother was a cop. Where did he go wrong and why? We’ll know more and why in the coming days.

The bible tells us that we ALL like sheep have gone astray, and that there is NONE righteous – no not ONE. – but God has laid on Christ Jesus the iniquity of us all.

My younger brother K.C. and I were on Pensacola Beach fishing one day and decided to get something to eat at a 7 Eleven store nearby. We had decided to get a chilly cheese dog and sit at a picnic table alongside the store. We got our heaping chili hotdogs with cheese and onions, and I couldn’t wait to dig in. As we made our way to the picnic table there was a young man about K.C.s age – say 35 – 40. He sat alone on one corner of the big weathered picnic table.

“Mind if we sit with you?” I queried. “Sure, help yourself” the pitiful man replied.

After giving thanks, I began chomping down on that big juicy baby, But I couldn’t help but notice that the man across from me was eyeing my hotdog with hungry eyes. “Do you want one, I asked.” “I don’t have no money he replied.”

“My treat.”

So, I got up – took one last bite and re-entered the store. I got the hotdog and a Coke for the hungry guy. He chomped on it like a hungry lumberjack and scoffed that big bugger down. “Thanks man, thanks, I haven’t eaten for two days.” He mumbled as he wiped the juices from his mouth with the back of his hand and took a big swallow of his large coke.

By this time K.C, and I had finished too. “Why haven’t you eaten?” I probed. “Well, my wife threw me out of the house a couple of days ago.”

“But why?”

Tears began forming in his eyes, then he began his tale of woe, “I’m a sorry sumbitch – that’s why!” The man began sobbing –  his chest heaving. K.C. was beginning to take note, it sounded all too familiar. “I’m one sorry drunken basterd,”the man continued. “Can’t quit the bottle, I’m a complete mess.”

Long story short I asked If I could pray for him, and he raised his head that was now hanging in defeat “Please do!”

KC, being a new Christian got up and scurried away as if he had seen a ghost knowing what I was about to do. I watched him leave and then began my prayer holding the young man’s hand, “Father in heaven please help this man find his way and to be able to have the peace and strength to overcome his addiction to alcohol,- that only Jesus can give- etc.”

(I never pray long pious prayers to make me seem like paragon of faith.) Short and sweet does the trick. The mans shoulder quit quaking and his sobbing subsided as if the tremendous guilt had left him and wiping his eyes with the back of his hands, he thanked me profusely – there was even a glow on his face as we said our goodbyes. He was going home a new man resolved to be the man he should be.

This is an update on Tucker Carlson, an honest man who doesn’t take himself too seriously – a guy I respect and like. Tucker says this about Christians in general while I encapsulate in parentheses (real) in the article about Christians, because – as he has yet to find out, there are many fake ones – even some pastors.

By Author: Abby Trivett
Tucker Carlson is taking note of the spiritual realm working in America today.
The media commentator and journalist has best been known for his unashamed conservative values. However, ever since leaving Fox News Carlson’s insight into the supernatural and faith has grown as he speaks out about it even more.
On a podcast with the Shawn Ryan Show, Carlson pointed out that the depth and amount of discussion about spiritual forces today is much more than it was just five years ago.
“All of a sudden in the last few years, just random, sort of normal secular American people are like, ‘you know, I was praying about that,’ or ‘I think God’s doing this,’” Carlson says. “There’s something going on, and of course, that’s the way God works…clearly, we’re under oppression of evil. Not just the Biden administration, which is just a manifestation of it, but there’s something way bigger trying to hurt people for the sake of hurting people.”
Carlson says that Christians are the ones who are not surprised by the chaos happening in our world today. On the contrary, it is Christians who are less shocked about the direction that America is currently heading toward.
“I will say this about the (real) Christians; to their credit, they’re not shocked at all,” Carlson says.
Carlson also believes that our reliance on artificial intelligence for our future is leading to an unsustainable place for both our power grid and for a self-sufficient people.
“Personally, I think it’s spiritual,” Carlson says.
“The real struggles are unseen. That is absolutely a part of Christian theology,” he continues.
Carlson further says that while many of the rich and famous in America may be opposed to Christianity, he believes it is Christians who truly can decipher what is happening in the world around us.
“What I didn’t know was that they’re only wise people. They’re the only ones who know what’s up, and that they’re just like way smarter than everybody,” says Carlson.
Carlson also believes that although we have seen all kinds of church secrets and scandals break out, the truth of Christianity is growing “in power.”
As we celebrate our freedom in America, let’s also cling tight to the truth of the Gospel as our nation continues to battle with spiritual darkness. Pray for revival and for the Holy Spirit to overflow all across the United States
Abby Trivett is content development editor for Charisma Media.

So, after reading this I will write an open letter to Tucker on my own website in the Open Letter section where I write to other notables on www.propheticsignsandwonders.com. with the hope that he somehow he reads it and responds knowing we both had the very same experiences in the hope that Tucker would have me on his podcast to promote my latest book.)

You are a full time minister!

The “Pastoral Epistles” are 1st and 2nd Timothy and Titus. These are not only for pastors: they are for every believer. We are all in a “full time ministry” whether we know it or not. Timothy was not too happy in his church in Ephesus; Titus was in a difficult situation on the Island of Crete. To both of them Paul wrote: “Be faithful. It’s too soon to quit.” [Philemon is also considered a “Pastoral Epistle since Paul’s letter is addressed to an individual person rather than a whole church or group of churches.]

Who wants to answer this ad?

“Help Wanted” Ad

• Men and women wanted for difficult task of building My church.

• You will often be misunderstood, even by those working with you.

• You will face constant attack from an invisible enemy.

• You may not see the results of your labor, and you full reward will not come till after all your work is completed.

• It may cost you your home, your ambitions, even your life.

—Warren Wiersbe

1st Epistle to Timothy: The Local Church and its Minister

The Pastoral Epistles: specific instructions and encouragement to the Pastors of the local churches. Timothy was the pastor—and Paul’s young protégé—of the “assembly” at Ephesus. Ten times in these two letters Paul speaks of his “charge”—committed to him by Christ, and he to Timothy—the glorious Gospel of the blessed God…

2nd Epistle to Timothy: A Challenge to Faithfulness

Paul’s last letter, as he awaited execution; he did not expect to be freed this time. The first letter was a “charge”; this one is a “challenge” to fortitude and faithfulness, under both the present testings, and in the

end-time testings to come.

The “Modern” Church

Where’s the Gospel? Where’s the call to obedience and accountability? Which book of the New Testament chronicles the early church practices? How many times does the word “Love” appear in the Book of Acts? The answer to that is ZERO, thats fascinating.

The symbol of the “Emergent Church” = an apple with a worm emerging…

Warnings

• “Some have turned aside” 1 Tim 1:6

• “Some have made a shipwreck” 1 Tim 1:19

• “Some shall fall away” 1 Tim 4:1

• “Some have turned after Satan” 1 Tim 5:15

• “Some have been led astray” 1 Tim 6:10

• “Some have missed the mark” 1 Tim 6:21

Our Challenge: Finishing well…

[In the second epistle the “some” have become “all.” A prophetic profile of our own times…]

Assurance

For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day.

2 Timothy 1:12

Finishing Well

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing.

2 Timothy 4:7-8

That’s the name of the game, it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish.
